FACT: Our bonus rooms are heated and cooled, but there are not return air vents. This allows you to use the bonus room as an interior space or an outdoor space.
OPINION: We love them!
Second Living Space
Having a second living space can create a new area in your home for your family to spend time together and entertain guests. The bonus room is centrally located, so it does not separate you from the rest of the home.
Formal Dining Room
Some families need a formal dining space! Over the years floorplans have changed where the formal dining area has been cut out completely. Having a second space in the home that is not strictly “designated” for something creates flexibility to make it fit the needs of every family.
Work Out Room
Bring the gym to your home and fill this spacious room with all sorts of equipment! Our bonus rooms are large enough to fit A to Z (Aerobics to Zumba).
Kids Play Room
The bonus room is off to the side of the main living space, so it creates a nook for your children to play while you can still see and hear them.
Designated Pet Area
I love the idea of having a designated pet area in the home. The bonus room leads directly to the back yard, where you could add a dog door in the wall. The walls and flooring are durable, making it easy to upkeep.
Let’s face it, boys watch a lot of sports and sometimes golf is not that entertaining. If you have a separate movie space in the home, they can watch ESPN while we watch E news!
The walls and flooring are perfect for art projects or crafting. The space has enough room for spreading all of your materials out, while creating a lot of natural light for the fine details.
