Hello, friends! The countdown in on. Baby Karter will be here in just two short weeks, so I’m signing off temporarily, but I’ll leave you with a home tour of one of my favorite collaborations I’ve ever worked on. I hope you enjoy as much as I did!
For starters, this floor plan was a one-of-a-kind design that was specifically drawn out to fit on its corner lot. It took a total of 3 designers and several weeks to perfect.
After Operation Floor Plan was completed, we worked tirelessly to make the front elevation just as perfect. Tweaking and fine tuning every detail, we spent a few weeks figuring out just how to make our vision and the reality of construction line up. This roof was a doozy, to say the least, but it was so worth it.
The grand (it is exactly that) entry of this house is another reason it’s one of my favorites. That fun, farmhouse dormer you see on the front creates tall, breath-taking ceilings and floods the space with natural light.
We’re not going to stop wow-ing you at the entry – it keeps getting better. This space mastered the art of spacious, yet cozy. If I could curl up here forever, I would.
Because of the odd-shaped lot and customized angular floor plan, so much of the detail is found in the actual architecture of the home. It added extra opportunity to play with fun things like built-in E-Spaces and wine storage (seen just beyond the entry to the kitchen).
So simple…but I can’t even find the words to describe how perfect this space is. Just off of the living room and kitchen, it’s the ideal amount of seclusion for a dining room.
This master bathroom will exceed your expectations. And remember that dormer that floods light into the entry? It also floods light into the master closet. Yes, the master closet. 😍
We found it fitting to let some of the materials throughout the home take on a quiet, simpler feel – we think it worked out really well.
Until next year, friends! And next time you see me, I’ll have a cute little companion!
