There’s no denying our love for big sprawling plans with plenty of fun additional spaces. As the office tiny home lover, though, I am continuously drawn to our smaller scale floor plans. Even when the square footage is on the smaller side, our classic plans prove that you really can have your cake and eat it too. Take a look at a few of our best below!
While a lot of smaller floor plans tend to start looking really similar, this one throws in a fun angled wall to give the living space a more character. One of the best features of the plan is the kitchen placement along an exterior wall. This lets us design so many spin-offs of the kitchen layout, playing with ceiling heights, windows, vent hood & sink locations, and on. Of course, this plan also manages to provide three guest bedrooms, a semi-separate dining space, a small office built-in, and a luxurious master suite. Catch our newest builds of this plan at 2313 103rd and 1524 79th.
This little plan is definitely designed for entertaining, despite its smaller footprint. We sacrificed one guest bedroom (out of the usual three) to include a large bonus room, right off the dining room. The utility spaces in this plan are more emphasized than usual as well, with a set-up that includes a large mud bench, desk space, and an extra work top in the laundry. We love the bath space in the master suite too – an elongated space allows for built-in shelving beside the tub, creating an opportunity for a spa-like experience right at home. The Fox Ridge neighborhood is where you’ll find the newest Sonora, at 2323 103rd.
This one’s for everyone out there who loves a semi-separate dining space. The communal living area feels huge, but has plenty of space-distinguishing features due to its L-shape. We managed to squeeze three guest bedrooms, a spacious bath, and a great utility area together so that the master suite is its own separate retreat, complete with master bath full of extra ambient daylighting (TWO obscured bath windows for the win!). We’ve got two Claremont plans under way at 2320 103rd and 1524 79th.
Definitely saved our most loved little plan for last! This floor plan has been so versatile throughout the years, as there are so many opportunities to rearrange the kitchen, manipulate the ceiling treatments, and play with the locations & sizes of the pantry, guest bath, and desk area. It’s only fitting that our favorite smaller-scale floor plan is titled after its namesake. Stay tuned throughout the coming months to find out where our next Ventura plan will be, because it’ll be a stunner!
