Step one is to get a pre-approval, if you are taking out a mortgage loan. Our preferred lenders include: Prime West Mortgage, Texas Tech Federal Credit Union, and City Bank Mortgage. For this process, you will need to provide information to the lender on assets, liabilities, and current employment. You will want to check with your individual lender for a full list of items required for the pre-approval and loan process.
Pick a Floor Plan in a Neighborhood
Step two is where we come in! After your pre-approval, you will know what price point you will want to stick with. This is how we will determine the best neighborhood for you. You then get to decide which home will be best for you. You can choose a move-in ready home, a spec home under construction or pick your own lot and floorplan. You can see tentative completion dates on all of our listings. If you decide to pick a floor plan and a lot, we can adjust the floor plan before construction. With any home built from scratch, you will be able to choose most of your interior and exterior finishes.
Sign a Contract
Next comes the contract! If you work directly with us, we will create the contract. You will also receive a $3,000 rebate check at the time of closing if there is no outside agent involved! If you choose to work with a realtor, we will work with the realtor to get the contract together. The contract will discuss the final price, finishes, warranty, and a completion date. At this time you will put down a 1-3.5% deposit that will be applied to your purchase price at the time of closing.
On the day of closing you and Jeff will meet at your new home to complete all necessary paperwork. At this time, you will pay the closing costs and make a down payment, then the keys are yours!
